A ceremony was held in Beijing on August 30 to mark the 65 th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and the 60 th anniversary of the Vietnam-China diplomatic ties, and launch the Vietnamese Days in China.

On September 2, 1945, in Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence to proclaim the birth of Democratic Republic of Viet Nam. Celebrating the 65th anniversary of Viet Nam National Day (September 2), Vietnamese people and foreigners all over the world are touched when they reminisce about President Ho Chi Minh’s effort in the struggle for independence. Although President Ho Chi Minh passed away, every year hundreds of thousands of people visit President Ho Chi Minh’s relic site to express their deep gratitude to the great person of the Vietnamese nation.
Ten ceramic works will be part of a contest during the eight-day Binh Duong Pottery and Porcelain Festival in Thu Dau Mot Town starting on September 2. The artworks will be judged on their size, sophistication of design, time of production, and other criteria.
To celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival that falls on September 22 this year, hotels prepare exquisitely handmade or imported moon cakes for guests besides some promotions and program to celebrate the special events.
Binh Duong province will host the first national ceramic festival from September 1 to September 9. Nineteen pottery villages and 50 ceramic companies including 19 from the Binh Duong Province’s Ceramics Association will take part in the festival in Thu Dau Mot Town.
