A series of important works to dress up and decorate Hanoi is basically complete with just 30 days left until the millennium anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi takes place. The capital city has to date completed 33 major projects, making Hanoi greener, cleaner and more beautiful, according to Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee and deputy head of the National Steering Committee on the anniversary.
The Italian embassy in Hanoi has announced the ‘Italian Music Month in Vietnam’ as part of the embassy’s activities to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

In order to create favorable conditions for foreigners to Viet Nam, the Prime Minister has agreed to abolish the immigration declaration for all passengers when they do procedures of entry and exit at Vietnam's international airports since September 15, 2010.
The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has put Vietnam in the list of the top Asian countries with strong tourism performance in the first half of this year. UNWTO said in a statement about global tourism that international tourist arrivals are estimated to have grown by 7% in the first six months.
The most spectacular cave recently found in the country, Thien Duong (Paradise) in the central province of Quang Binh , has opened to public. At 31km, Thien Duong is the longest cave found in Vietnam so far.
