State President Nguyen Minh Triet on June 22, 2011 attended a ground-breaking ceremony for the restoration and embellishment of a memorial area dedicated to late President Ho Chi Minh in the southernmost province of Ca Mau.
The central coast city of Danang is well known for the white-sand beaches that attract throngs of local and international tourists. Usual sights at the alluring My Khe Beach in central Danang late in the afternoon are huge crowds of local residents mingling with tourists, mostly Vietnamese, in the crystal-clear sea. 
HCMC-based Vietravel and APEX Vietnam Co., LTD have said chartered flights will take hundreds of Japanese tourists to HCMC, the major groups to the city since an earthquake and tsunami hit northeastern Japan in March.
A visit to Sea Lake and its surrounding mountains and pines is really an escape from the chaos of the city. Situated some 5km north of the centre of Pleiku City, Sea Lake is as immense as an ocean and a nice destination for people who love both mountains and the vastness of the open sea.
Developing MICE tourism would bring benefits, not only to the tourism sector, but also to general trade and the promotion of the image of the country, said Gilbert Whelan, former President of the Pacific-Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the Director of MICE Club Vietnam.
