A certificate of national relic site status was presented recently to honour the tomb and temple of Nguyen Thi Due, the first female doctoral laureate in Vietnam’s feudal history, in northern Hai Duong province.

The contest, the seventh of its kind jointly held by the Vietnam Tourism Review under the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism and the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists, forms part of the activities marking the 56th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese tourism sector (July 9, 1960).

Eligible candidates are professional and amateur photographers at home and abroad who are encouraged to capture the beauty of land and people of Viet Nam, which is mirrored through landscapes, historical and cultural relic sites, people’s daily life, customs and cuisine.

Entries should be sent to Viet Nam Tourism Review, 4 Lieu Giai Street, Ba Dinh district, Ha Noi no later than May 31, 2016.

One first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes will be presented to the top entries.

The contest was first launched in 1990 with the latest one held in 2013 under the theme “Viet Nam-charmless beauty”, which attracted 6,466 works by 590 photographers from 61 cities and provinces nationwide.
