The building, invested by the Hanoi Construction Department at over VND95 billion, has five floating floors, two basement garages and a 400-seat multi-purpose hall.
Phi Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, said the theatre will be a centre to perform Cheo (traditional opera) and other cultural activities for Hanoians.
Also at the ceremony, the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee delivered the decision to investor that the theatre will receive a plaque saying it is a construction commemorating the capital’s 1,000th birthday.
