YANGON-BAGO-GOLDEN ROCK-HPA AN-MAWLAMYINE - YANGON

Day 1: Arrival Yangon – Bago - Golden Rock (Kyaik Htiyo) (By Coach)
Welcome at the airport. Then drive to Kyaik Hto to go to the Golden Rock. On the way, visit to Bago, a city situated 80 km, was an ancient capital of Mon Kingdom in 15th century and enjoy the Bago sightseeing including Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha, Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Kalyani Sima (Ordination Hall), 28 metre high huge Buddha Image of Kyaikpun Pagoda, Chinese Kwanyin Temple. Then proceed to the famous 'Golden Rock' is a sacred, massive gold-leafed boulder delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff at the top of Mt. Kyaik Htiyo. In afternoon, we arrive a pilgrim –village and starting point to the famous Golden Rock. From Hotel in Kyaik Htiyo we first take a truck and then walk for 1 hour up the hill to enjoy the sunset at the Golden Rock. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Kyaik Htiyo.

Day 2: olden Rock – Hpa An   ( By Coach )
After morning , transfer to Hpa An, The scenery between Kyaikhto and Thaton is dry and therefore the Hpa-An countryside is green and really pleasant welcomeing.Hpa-an is a capital of Kayin State. Recently removed from the restricted list of travel destinations. Hpa-an is small town but busy commerce center you can see farmer coming to town in horse cart or trishaws stacked with baskets or mas to sell in the market. Most of people are Kayin.Before we got to Hpa An ,we stop at Bayin Nyi Naung Cave, the cave was about 900 years old. The cave itself is smaller and nicer having panoramic view. Hotel check-in and having lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hpa An.

Day 3: Sightseeing in Hpa An  ( By Coach )
After morning breakfast, sightseeing to Mt. Zwegapin, over 700 meter high,which has a very unusual shape, which, once seen, is not easily forgotten. The leading town in the northern section is Thandaung. It is a very beautiful hill station and an important tea, coffee and fruit producing region. It is the land mark of the Kayin state. Then visit to Shwe Yin Myaw Pagoda, then proceed to Kawgun Cave, which is located near Kawgun village, which is two miles distance from Hpa An township.It is a natural lime stone cave and measures 200 fts height and 300 fts length. The rock surfaces is profusely decorated with diffent kinds of clay Buddha images and votive tablets. It is a rare cave in the lower Myanmar. Visit to Ingyin Tahtaung,  Kyauk Kan Latt Pagoda. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hpa An.

Day 2: Hpa-An – Mawlamyine   ( By Boat )
After breakfast at hotel, we transfer to Ayeyar jetty, across Than Lwin River, the boat will sail to Myawlamyine, it will take about 4 hours. The scenery is quite nice on sunrise. . Mawlamyine is an ancient Mon town. The name according to the legend comes from Mot-Mua-Lum, meaning "one eye destroyed" . In this legend an ancient king had three eyes, the third eye in the centre of the fore-head having the power of seeing what was going on in surrounding kingdoms. The King of a neighbouring country gave his daughter in marriage to the three-eyed king, and this queen was eventually able to destroy the all-seeing third eye. Mawlamyine is now being transformed into a modern city with many new public and private buildings coming up. Only the old pagodas on the Mawlamyaine Ridge remind us of her ancient origins. We arrive at afternoon and check-in at hotel. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant  and overnight at hotel in Mawlamyine.
 
Day 5: Sightseeing in Mawlamyine  (By Coach)
After morning breakfast, visit to Kyaik-Than-lan Pagoda. Three famous pagodas adorn the Mawlamyine Ridge. The Kyaik-thanlan pagoda was erected in 875 A.D. during the reign of King Mutpi Raja. A hair relic of the Buddha, Tripitaka manuscripts and gold images of the Buddha were enshrined in the pagoda. Successive kings raised the pagoda higher, from 56 feet to the present 150 feet.U Zina Pagoda . Mahamuni Pagoda. Excursion to Mudon, Kyaikkami Yele Pagoda. Setse Beach.It lies 24 km south of Kyaikkami and 16 km south-west of Thanbyuzayut, Mon State. It is a very wide, brown-sand beach that tends toward tidal flats when the shallow surf-line recedes at low tide. The beach is lined by waving casuarinas trees. Vendors sell fresh young coconuts full of juice, and restaurants serve seafood. It is one of the noted beaches in Myanmar. Then, visit to Thanbyuzayat - or “tin shelter” is 30 kms south of Mawlamyine. It was the western terminus of the infamous Burma-Siam Railway, dubbed the ”death railway” by the thousands of Allied prisoners of war (and Asians who were forced by the Japanese military to build it. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Mawlamyine.

Day 6: Mawlamyine – Yangon ( By Train )
In early morning, after breakfast, check-out from hotel , transfer to Mawlamyine Railway Station. The train will depart on 7:30am from Myawlamyine Station. Transfer to Yangon by train. On the way to Yangon, you can sightseeing the colourful life of Kayin People and Kayin Division. In evening, arrived at Yangon.
